I was told by a prior mold inspector that I may have mold, but he didn't test properly. Then I had another guy come out and charge me for putting together a mold remediation protocol, and he declined to do additional testing since the first guy had already done it. I then called Anderson Restoration to come out and do the work - I expected the fees to have been in the range of $10k-30k, and that's not counting the disruption and expense of moving out and getting a rental home while they do the work. But when Nicolas from Anderson Restoration came out, he told me to pump the brakes, take a step back, and let's see if this is actually mold in the first place, because he was skeptical. He gave me the names of a couple of reputable mold testing companies (shoutout to Blake Salcetti and Dean Cox from Texas Mold Advisors). They came out, tested properly, and concluded I don't have mold - what I'm seeing are just fruit fly droppings and can be easily handled. Anderson saved me an enormous amount of hassle and expense, and you can bet I will refer them to anyone I know who needs mold restoration or water damage restoration work done. Thank you.

In March of 2024 a valve broke in my upstairs bathroom causing water damage to it and the kitchen below it. Anderson was recommended by my insurance company so I used them for the cleanup, dry out and restoration. They did an excellent job in all areas. I was so grateful and impressed with the work and professionalism they showed but I was glad to be done with them. Little did I know I would need them again. In December 2025 a pipe broke in the same bathroom causing flooding in the kitchen again. I immediately called Jared and asked if he remembered me. He said of course! What can I do for you? I told him what happened and he sent a team. Again they were prompt, professional and sensitive to my needs. They don’t mind going the extra mile for you even negotiating with the insurance company. I highly recommend Anderson Restoration.

Anderson Restoration did an amazing job thoroughly assessing the water damage done to my home. Ramiro Torres is the project manager on my case. Him and his team answered any questions or concerns that I had. They worked seamlessly with my insurance adjuster and they cleaned up after the work order was complete. I look forward to working with this team in the future! Update: Anthony Tran is helping with the repair portion of the project. He is doing an amazing job working with my insurance and providing timely estimates. I could not have asked for a better team!

Water-stained ceiling in a residential living room caused by an upstairs bathroom leak, with visible discoloration and slight bubbling in paint

Types of Bathroom Water Damage We Handle

Toilet overflow cleanup is one of the most frequent calls we receive, especially in homes with older plumbing or small children. A single overflow can send water under vanities, through tile grout lines, and into the subfloor faster than most people expect. Toilet leak water damage from a failing wax ring seal can go unnoticed for months, slowly rotting the floor beneath the toilet base. Bathtub overflow cleanup involves extracting water that has often soaked into surrounding walls and adjacent rooms. Shower pan leak water damage is tricky because the leak path runs behind tile and into the wall cavity or ceiling below, making it invisible until staining or soft spots appear. Sink overflow cleanup is usually more contained but still requires professional drying when water reaches cabinets and flooring. Bathroom pipe leak cleanup behind walls often means opening drywall to access corroded or failed connections. An upstairs bathroom leak ceiling damage situation can affect rooms on multiple levels, requiring extraction and drying both upstairs and on the floor below.

Why Bathroom Leaks Demand Fast Attention

Bathroom flooding creates problems quickly because most bathrooms have limited ventilation and stay humid by design. Moisture trapped behind tile, under vanities, and inside wall cavities creates ideal conditions for mold growth within 48 to 72 hours. A shower leak water damage repair delayed by even a few days can turn a contained issue into one that affects framing, insulation, and adjacent rooms. Even a toilet overflow cleanup service visit that seems routine should include a moisture check of surrounding materials to rule out hidden saturation.

The biggest risk with appliance leaks is time. A dishwasher leak cleanup service call that arrives after a few hours of dripping usually involves limited drying. That same leak left for a week can mean full subfloor replacement and mold remediation. Warm, humid air accelerates the damage in this market. Materials that feel dry on the surface can still hold moisture deeper in the structure, which is why professional moisture mapping matters more than a visual inspection.

How We Restore Bathrooms After Water Damage

Anderson Restoration’s bathroom leak cleanup service begins with a thorough moisture assessment, not just the visible wet areas, but the walls, subfloor, and any adjacent spaces water may have traveled to. We extract standing water, remove saturated materials that cannot be saved, and set up controlled drying to bring the structure back to safe moisture levels. FAQ's

Water damage can be a big problem because it can weaken the structure of a building. When water gets into walls, ceilings, or floors, it can damage the materials, like wood or drywall. This damage can make the building less stable and could cause parts of it to break or fall apart.

Water damage can also lead to mold and mildew growth, which is not only bad for surfaces but can also make people sick if they breathe it in. Mold can trigger allergies and other respiratory problems, so it's important to deal with water damage quickly.

After water damage occurs, it's important to avoid certain actions that could make things worse. Don't enter rooms with standing water until it's safe, as there's a risk of electric shock. Also, don't use wet appliances or electronics, as they could be damaged or dangerous.

Trying to clean up or fix the damage yourself without the right tools and knowledge could end up costing more in the long run. One of the best steps you can take is to reach out to Anderson Restoration for water damage cleanup in Houston and surrounding areas.

If your home has been flooded, had a sewage backup, or sprung a leak, there are steps you should take to deal with the aftermath. First, make sure it's safe by turning off the electricity and gas. Then, take pictures or videos of the damage for insurance purposes.

We recommend you to contact Anderson Restoration to help with the insurance claim process.  Hiring professionals like Anderson Restoration who specialize in water damage repair in Houston to remove the water, dry out the area, repair damage loss and prevent mold from growing; would be the next best step.

Water damage can range from small leaks to major floods, and it can cause a lot of problems for a home. Aside from making the structure weaker, water damage can ruin furniture, belongings, and important papers. Fixing water damage can also be expensive, especially if it's not taken care of quickly. Plus, if water damage isn't treated, it can create perfect environmental problems.

Searching for "water damage restoration near me" or "water damage restoration companies near me" is one of the best ways to find water damage companies like Anderson Restoration to help with bad water damage in Houston.
